Born in rural western Massachusetts, D.C. Bienvenue grew up fishing the many mountain lakes and streams for Trout, Bass, and Pike. After graduating from High School, D.C. attended the famed Johnson & Wales University's College of Culinary Arts. Upon graduating he became one of the brightest young chefs in the Northeast, aquiring 32 awards before moving to Florida.
Upon settling in Sarasota, Florida, D.C. Bienvenue once again rediscovered his love for fishing and the outdoors and bought his first kayak. Within two years time he left the world of Culinary Arts and Sun Coast Kayak Fishing Tours was born.
In addition to guiding full time D.C. Bienvenue has also written over 200 articles for local and national publications on the topics of sport fishing and kayak fishing. Also, he has started a local kayak fishing organization and is currently set to release the first of a series of HD DVD's on kayak fishing this December.
